Man With Crisis: The Tumblelog

Welcome!

My name is Father K. Vick Naismith, and I publish a zine called Man With Crisis. I started the zine in early 2008 as a way to let my son, a Jewish banker from Scarsdale, know he was still alive in my thoughts. And also to get tons of zine chicks. So far, I have failed miserably on both counts.

The Redmond Challenge: Assignment #4

Your assignment is to write a poem which makes vigorous use of changes of scale.

We Had This Thing

We had this thing
where
I would feign
something important
having prospects
learning from my mistakes
being a good provider
and you would genuflect
but nothing substantial
ever came.

We had this thing
a small incision
then laceration
then defenestration
and you made a joke
about how small my
sense of humor was
and we laughed
and made love
but nothing substantial
ever came.
